Overview
Outcode connects my iPhone to my Mac. I can build an iOS app on the Mac and install it on the phone in my hand within seconds, from home, a café or a train. Claude Code does the work on the Mac, and I steer it from the phone.
What I built
- Over-the-air installs: Install on iPhone builds the app on the Mac, packages it and serves it to the phone on a private link that expires after an hour
- Claude Code on the phone: start, prompt, stop and resume sessions, with permission prompts, questions and plans as cards and every edit shown as a real diff
- Command panel with each project's builds, tests and scripts, with live terminal output
- Releases from the phone: App Store screenshots, store texts written with Claude, version bump, upload and submission for review
- outcode init: a CLI that pairs the phone with one QR code and has Claude find a project's apps and commands
- A Node.js daemon on the Mac (published on npm) with a web UI that mirrors the same live sessions
- Marketing website at outcode.matyasprochazka.cz
Result
The daemon is on npm and the iOS app is on its way to the App Store. There is no Outcode server: the phone talks to the Mac directly over Tailscale, and Claude runs under the developer's own login.
